Jurgen Klopp addressed his players for the last time as Liverpool’s head coach, professing his love for his team.
The day before, Klopp’s nine-year era at Liverpool ended. It was an extremely emotional moment for everyone who attended Anfield.
After the 2-0 win over Wolverhampton, Klopp made a speech in the dressing room, praising the players for winning third place in the Premier League and expressing confidence about Liverpool’s prospects under the new head coach.
“I love you. I can’t wait to watch you, your development, your next steps…”
“We were the only ones who stopped Manchester City (in the 2019/20 season) and you can do it again.”
“There may be people who will say that third place is not enough. And I’ll tell you that they don’t understand anything about football.”
