Оливер Гласнер Crystal Palace have demanded 100 million euros (86 million pounds) from Bayern Munich for their head coach Oliver Glasner.

Glasner became Bayern’s number one target after Ralf Rangnick — following Xabi Alonso and Julian Nagelsmann — rejected the club’s interest from the Allianz Arena, preferring to stay at his current job.

Bild confirms that Bayern Munich did contact Palace about Glasner, but the Eagles made it clear that Oliver would never leave, setting an astronomical amount of compensation for the Austrian specialist.

The amount of 86 million pounds announced by the German edition is several times higher than the record coaching compensation of 21.5 million pounds that Chelsea paid to Brighton for Graham Potter in September 2022.

At the same time, Bayern was ready to pay only 18 million euros (15.5 million pounds) for Glasner.

It is assumed that the issue of Glasner’s future is now closed. Oliver is happy to stay at the club, where he joined only in February, having managed to play 12 matches.

Bayern are expected to focus on the candidacies of their former helmsman Hansi Flick and Brighton head coach Roberto De Derbi.
