Graham Potter has rejected the opportunity to become the new head coach of Ajax.
Having fired Maurice Stein back in October and appointed John Van’t Schip as a temporary manager, Ajax identified Potter as their number one target for the role of permanent mentor.
Potter has been out of work since his dismissal from Chelsea in April 2023, but after negotiations with the Amsterdam club, the 48-year-old Englishman decided that this project was not suitable for him at the moment, The Athletic reports.
Potter is also being wooed to some other European clubs. Graham is also on Manchester United’s shortlist to replace Eric Ten Hag.
Potter carefully chooses a new job for himself in order to rehabilitate himself for the failure at Chelsea, from where he was fired seven months after signing a five-year contract.
