Грэм Поттер Ajax has stepped up negotiations with Graham Potter to get ahead of Manchester United and other clubs also interested in the former Chelsea coach.

According to The Telegraph, Potter is indeed on United’s shortlist to replace his current mentor Eric Ten Hag.

However, United will make a decision on Ten Hag only after the FA Cup final against Manchester City on May 25, and this gives Ajax time to move forward in negotiations with Potter.

To get Potter, Ajax will have to make Graham the highest-paid coach in its history, but Amsterdam is ready for such expenses, hoping with the help of the 48-year-old Englishman to lead his club out of a protracted crisis.

Potter has been out of work for more than a year, continuing to carefully choose the right option to return to football. In addition to Ajax and United, Graham is also attracting interest from Milan, Porto, Feyenoord and others.

The source adds that Potter is also being considered by the FA as a possible replacement for England head coach Gareth Southgate if he decides to leave his post after Euro 2024.
